Expanding Modes of Practice: Interboro

The League and Log journal present a series of monthly Friday night conversations based on the recently published Log 48: Expanding Modes of Practice. Moderated by Bryony Roberts, guest editor of the issue, these online discussions bring together architects and designers whose work harnesses multiple modes of practice, exemplifying a “slipperiness” between fields. An online replacement for the insider’s view provided by the League’s First Friday programs, these informed but informal conversations are followed by a Q&A with attendees.

For the third event of this series, Georgeen Theodore, Daniel D’Oca, and Tobias Armborst, principals and co-founders of Interboro Partners, will discuss their integrative architecture, urban design, and planning practice to address some of the issues raised in Log 48. The conversation will focus on methods for community engagement in small- to large-scale projects, tools for acquiring on-the-ground knowledge, the role of narrative in their work, and beyond.
